The city pool has been an important part of our community for many years, 60 summers & counting (to be exact), and we recognize the challenges that come with maintaining and operating a facility like this. Our local non-profit, Lawson Mo Swim Club, is stepping forward to take on the pool’s operations so this valued space can continue serving families for years to come. Our hope is to work alongside the city in a positive partnership that transfers and preserves this community resource and creates new opportunities for growth, sustainability, and involvement.

We all appreciate everything the city has done to keep the pool going over the last 7 years and what the non-profit before them sacrificed to do the same thing we are planning to do now. As costs and responsibilities continue to grow, it is time for a community-led non-profit to help carry that responsibility forward so the pool can remain a place families enjoy for generations.

For us, this is not about the city versus the community — it’s about the community coming together to help the city thrive. Join us in the effort to keep this long-standing legacy for Lawson, whether it is as a volunteer, member, donor, or sponsor… and maybe a combination of a few!!!

We’re incredibly grateful for the excitement and support surrounding the future of our community pool. Many people have already asked how they can help, and that enthusiasm means so much to us. As we work through the planning and (first season) transition process, we kindly ask for a little patience while we organize the best ways for volunteers, donors, and sponsors to get involved.
